The me I see

As I see it I am a very simple girl who likes to live freely. I am also a sensitive, a little angry😇, overthinker, and a girl who likes to spend time with friends and family. 

So this is me, Hansi Semini Jayakodi. I live in the Kurunegala district. I am 21 years old. My family consists of a mother, father, younger brother and younger sister. I studied at Isipathana National School Bamunakotuwa. Now I am an undergraduate at the University of the Visual and Performing Arts Colombo. My future hope is to successfully complete my education and become a lecturer equipped with all the knowledge.


Since childhood, the only thing I have loved is dancing. Since childhood, I have worked very hard to get to where I am today. And I have made a enjoying the results of that today. I can't stop here because this is only a small part of my achievement. I still have a long way to go. I am putting all my energy into it. I want to fulfill my dream someday, to become a talented dancer known all over the world and to take our traditional dance to the international stage. For that, I am working very hard and I believe in myself a lot.✊💖

A beautiful and unforgettable day

  August 22, 2024 is the day that a big dream I had in mind since I started studying dance came true. I have been learning dance since I was about four years old. But I started learning dance formally when I was ten years old. From that time until I was twenty years old. I studies Kandyan dance thoroughly for ten years. As a result of that learning, I realized my dream. That was to wear headers. The day I wore the headers was a beautiful day in my life. Along with me, many of my friends realized their dreams that day. We ritually wore the headers on our heads and displayed our skills in front of our parents, teachers, friends and relatives. By the end of that day, I felt an indescribable joy. Because I had worked so hard for that joy. I had practiced so much. That's why I was able to make that day a beautiful day.
